Mirella was born and raised in Perú where she worked with "Nube luz," an educational television children’s show. She earned a certificate in marketing from a technical school in Venezuela and worked there promoting children's books. She moved to the United States in 2010 to be with her husband. Here, she leads Spanish story times for the King County Library System and is also part of the Early Literacy Parties in Spanish program. "It amazing to see children learn a new language while having fun. I enjoy sharing my language and culture with people. I believe that children are able to learn a new language easily when they start thinking in spanish at an early age."
